Systems Administrator - Unix

Summary

Systems Administrator will be responsible for planning, implementation, and administration of clients' Unix servers. 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years of information technology experience with an emphasis on systems administration in a Unix environment

• Experience and guru-level competency administering Unix / Linux / Solaris / AIX file, print, and application servers

• Experience with NFS & NIS/NIS+

• Experience with network monitoring and reporting, capacity planning, auditing, backup & restore, network infrastructure, security, and network & systems documentation

• Experience with DNS/BIND, and Web/FTP services

• Experience with korn, boure, bash, and other shell scripting environments

• Hands-on experience with Sun, IBM, or other similar high-end Unix server, storage, and media management hardware

• Hands-on experience with Shark racking solutions

• Excellent written, verbal, and customer communications skills required

• Sun, Linux, or other vendor/industry certifications desired
