Senior Project Manager

Summary

Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading technical projects, including managing cross-functional teams in support of complex programs and projects such as such as systems integration, server consolidation, storage area management, local/wide area network implementation, and desktop/server OS upgrades, etc.  The successful candidate will be able to assess financial implications for proposed technical solutions, develop cost alternatives, and manage the technical dimension of programs and/or projects within approved budgets.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• At least 10 years of information technology experience with an emphasis in infrastructure services, plus five or more years supervisory experience

• Five years experience in project management in a large enterprise environment managing high profile technical projects involving computing platforms (Windows 2000/NT, UNIX, etc.)

• Demonstrated technical competence in multiple infrastructure products and services

• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional technical and/or developmental teams to address and solve business issues and problems

• Demonstrated ability to provide direction and make strategic decisions regarding changing project/product scope, policy development, infrastructure architecture and implementation.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and manage resolution of major issues that could be controversial or technical in nature, having significant impact on singular or multiple departments within an organization

• Ability to facilitate discussion and drive consensus towards a shared common architectural vision/objective

• The successful candidate must also demonstrate exemplary interpersonal demeanor and have the ability to communicate with clients, developers, contractors, suppliers, and all levels of management in order to disseminate information and influence policy directions on projects, products and services

• PMI, PMP or other Project Management certifications strongly desired

• MCSE, CCNA, or other vendor/industry certifications desired
