Network Security Engineer
Summary
Responsible for designing, implementing, and administering technical security solutions. Provides technical consulting on system and network security projects.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
At least 10 years of information technology experience with an emphasis in infrastructure services
Five years experience designing, implementing, and/or managing information systems security solutions in a Windows or Unix/Linux environment
Demonstrated technical competence in multiple infrastructure and security technologies and services
Familiarity with security tools (tcpdump, snort, nmap, l0phtcrack, etc.)
Experience implementing VPNs and/or IDSs (Intrusion Detection Systems)
Experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Familiarity with DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)
Familiarity with the following NIST publications:
SP 800-12 An Introduction to Computer Security: The NIST Handbook
SP 800-18 Guide for Developing Security Plans for Information Technology Systems
SP 800-26 Security Self-Assessment Guide for Information Technology Systems
SP 800-30 Risk Management Guide for Information Technology Systems
MCSE, CCNA certifications required
CISSP, GIAC, or other IT security certification strongly desired
Cisco, CheckPoint, Watchguard, or other vendor certifications desired
Active Security Clearance a plus
Excellent written, verbal, and customer presentation skills
